The last 2 reviews sum up this album well by describing it for all its rolling dark, industrial ambient, futuristic bass rumbling brilliance. Just superb.

While Current Value has since upped the darkness and hardness in his tunes considerably, and arguably bettered his past work by doing so, his early Position Chrome releases contain some of his finest material - and "Frequency Hunt" is no exception.
All of the tracks on the album have a common foundation; dark, haunting ambience and incredibly technical drum programming. Thus, because of these similarities, it has somewhat of a love-or-hate appeal to it. If you don't like the first track, you probably won't enjoy the rest of the album.

It has to be said, his other Position Chrome albums are very similar in sound to this, but I believe "Frequency Hunt" is the most solid representation of Current Value's uncompromising sound in the late 90's.

Another one great example of hard and dark drum'n'bass released on Position Chrome label (the first is Panacea's "Low Profile Darkness") but Current Value went into more intelligent and minimal way. Very loopy and spasmic sound with dark ambient streams dissolves yourself and washes the reality out, all things around starts their own chaotic vibration cycles. May be it's hard to listen such stuff for a long time but let this wave catch you and may be you'll get a new vision.
