I still have the original copy I bought back in the early 80's... The version of clear people are looking for was never on the original album. It was on the 12inch single with industrial lies on the opposite side. I always liked the album version better myself over the 12inch version. The album was so hard to get back then, most got the 12 inch and was happy. And R-9 was never on the original album either. It also was a 12 inch single... When they started making the cd versions and downloads became available later on, they added R-9 to the album, the 12 inch version of clear, the house version of cosmic cars... But that wasn't the original lineup...

Again, to clarify, this release does not contain the best of both worlds. It does not contain the 12" remix of "Clear" most are seeking. This contains the original album version which the reviewer below has pointed out. On the other hand, this DOES contain the original version of "Cosmic Cars", not one of the more unfamiliar versions which appeared on re-releases.

The version of Cosmic Cars on this release is the 1988 House Mix, not the original mix.

My copy has... Where do I start? Dust, debris, dirt and scratches right after unsealing the brand new album and taking it out from a poor quality paper sleeve. Side B - full of bubbles/dimples/sinks or whatever you call them. They did not affect playback, but still, they mean poor manufacturing. Both sides have very audible surface noise.
The worst part though... The major selling point of this record is the classic song „Clear”, obviously. Its the last track on side B, right in the inner groove distortion zone. It stopped bothering me once I heard the song. This is not the version I remember. Its terrible, it sounds like a Newcleus song... The deep vocoder voice is gone, instead you get that „wikiwikiwiki” helium vocals.
Major dissapointment, this release that is.
The album itself is a must-have classic and should sit right next to Kraftwerk in your record collection.

As others have pointed out, the original mix of "cosmic cars" is missing from this reissue, as both mixes are the "Detroit style mix".. Do yourself a favor and just pick up the cosmic cars single second hand. Other than that, its a decent reissue, collecting all the wanted Cybotron stuff in one place. I'll admit, it was a major mess up considering the importance of that track to the album, but what can you do, beats paying outrageous prices for an original print just to get the "crickets" mix of clear.

This could have been an incredible reissue but the glaring errors in its release are disappointing.

1.The Cosmic cars mix on the first disc is wrong, therefore making a proper reissue of the original "Enter" LP still unattainable.
2.The 2nd disc has duplicated/wrong labels
3.What is the master source of these? Someone more qualified may have some useful observations about this. Some of the audio sources seem inconsistent.

It's very strange because there is the same problem on Motor City Machine Music: An Exploration Of Cybotron. It's written there are three versions of Cosmic Cars, but the House mix and the Detroit mix are the same (the House one).

Unfortunately it does not include the Original Version of Cosmic Cars but the House Mix twice for whatever reason. Also both Instrumentals of Techno City and R-9 are only Mono!
The Vocal of Techno City is the 7" Version which contains more lyrics than found on the 12".
All tracks are mastered from tape so no vinyl mastering here.
