I actually have some cool information about the tracks Sometime & Human. They were released as singles in 2011 along with 2 B-sides that didn't make the album (Big Joke & Corvalis are the B-sides). Sometime had a very limited edition pressing on CD so if you can hunt that down, DO IT! Human was only released on 7" Vinyl so that might be harder to get. Anyway those 2 tracks were Rerecorded and even the instrumental is different. The Times are almost the same as the album versions, but sometime is only 6 seconds longer in length then the album version (3:12 is the track time for it on the CD/Vinyl single & the albums track time is 3:06). Human has the same time as the album version, but sounds different. Really its only the instrumentals that sound different and its mostly on Human. Never saw anyone post about this and thought it was cool. TBH tho i think the album versions sound more mastered & Better sounding. Also wish they had included those B-sides from the singles on the iTunes Bonus Track version. Then it would have been a 17 track album just like the new album they released. Anyway enjoy this information!

The album is great. I love DIIV.

But not this pressing. Save your money, get the standard pressing. I would suggest a repress. *Seriously.*

Yes, it's pretty, but it's not a very good pressing (At least mine isn't). The inner tracks suffer badly from inner groove distortion (And it's not my turntable). Many of the older Captured Tracks pressings have quality control issues (warps & poor sound quality). I have quite a few, and most of them all suffer from the same issues.

Again, fantastic album. But save your money, get a better quality reissue. These are more collector's items.

My copy sounds pretty bad. Lots of surface noise and distortion even after a clean. I heard the original suffers from similar problems. A shame because it's great music.

Huh, just noticed after all these years that my first pressing is actually hand numbered inside the screen printed wrap around #140 just below the Captured Tracks logo stamped. Guessing out of 300 based on the number showing up in peoples collections here.

Now that the tour is over, Captured Tracks posted the unsold copies (less than 100) for sale on their webstore. They sold out super fast, I hope everyone got one!

Sell your original DIIV records and you can go on holidays with the money. Keep them and you'll travel each time you listen to them.

(haha)

Anyone else get a weird feeling like they were printed to be sold as misprints on purpose?

The old 2012 rare version. This has the old artwork & this version is out of print along with the vinyl. They reissue it with updated artwork in 2015. The only thing that makes this version rare is the artwork. Besides that, that's basically it.

This version has the new updated 2015 artwork. They had like legal issues or something with the old artwork. They reissued the new artwork on CD, Vinyl & Cassette. The cassette version tho has slight different artwork to fit the cassette artwork. It looks almost the same as the 2015 CD & Vinyl but isn't the same.

Love the new artwork. They had like legal issues or something with the original artwork. If you go on iTunes or Amazon the artwork had been updated with this version. There's nothing new or no bonus tracks. But the vinyl is back in print & isnt super rare anymore. The old 2012 & other reissues are super rare & DIIV has told there fans to keep those old versions looking new. I personally think the only old version that is actually rare is the Blue Pressed Version. The other ones are just with the old artwork. In my opinion the old artwork freaked me out & the new artwork is just more there style. I really wish they would do a reissue with a blue vinyl again. The cassette version has slight different artwork but it's cool tho.
