"Compnded" is clearly the stand out track on this 12" and was just simply a huge track in its day. It is sample mayhem cleverly crafted together through the driving rhythm of the drums and percussion to create a monster of a track. Fantastic track that still sounds fantastic today, well if your an Old School fan anyway.

Although the vocal stab bit is originally from Patti La Belle, You can tell that they have sampled it from Shades of Rhythm's "Sweet Sensation"

Compnded as revived in the early years of the golden age of trance in 1996/97 - it surprisingly fit in really well.

Where are the synths on Clr Sky sampled from? It's doing my head in.

This reminds me of raindance, every picture tells a story and many more raves from the early 90's.
Such a big tune in its time.

I don't remember this record being played in 1991 at all. I like to think I know my 1991 releases pretty well. Can't remember hearing it in any DJ sets or whilst out partying. Doesn't mean what I say is the case as I might've not been in the right place at the right time when this was debuting be that listening to a radio broadcast or DJ playing. One thing's for sure, I need real, concrete proof otherwise it's purely hearsay. I'm pretty sure DJ Edge's other record, Digital Domain - I Need Relief was circulating from very late 1991 (December) though, but can't remember this until early-ish 1992.

Anyway, I actually think the other tracks besides the main one have gone largely unnoticed by many and are also worth a mention. Edge #2 is probably still my favourite though.

i think CMPNDED contains a sample of the gypsymen (also from 1992) https://www.discogs.com/Gypsymen-Hear-The-Music-Bounce/release/209728 - either that or its sampling the same source of the "hip-hop" vocal sample.. another user below noted that it takes the lead riff from M1 Feel the Drums (1991) https://www.discogs.com/M1-Feel-The-Drums/release/132937
