"Twenty Minutes Of Disco Glory (The Acid Rock Mix)"

There are a handful of solid and defining house songs from the mid 90s, this is one of them. I still have my copy, one of my all-time favs. Sick, sick, sick ACID line. The bass will destroy any system. What really defines the song is the trippy delayed female vocal sample that ebbs and flows throughout the song. Then there are the fine details, such as the one-bar bass licks (nice touch). This song is one of a kind. Simply awesome.

Essential tune! The 'Acid Rock' mix is a towering monolith of funk, what with its furtive guitar lick, dubbed out vocal samples, and that frothing acid line that just won't quit. West-coast house defined to a "T".

Indeed a really Wicked record by Garth.
This record alone is THE blueprint for the whole Westcoast dubby house movement that started to florish some five years later.
A psychedelic SF California classic, buy or steal one !

The "Acid Rock Mix" is the stand-out cut on this original release of "20 Minutes Of Disco Glory". A bubbling acid line over a funky slap-bass b-line, crisp beats, and immaculate production help to make this one of the best tracks from 1996 (and possibly even the whole of the 1990's !!!). Still in my box, and still getting played on a regular basis !!
