This EP is an interesting example of how Dutch hardcore was developing back in 1994. The A side is typical Rotterdam hardcore, with plenty of distorted kicks, energetic hoovers and angry samples including the word "fuck". The B side however represents the emerging happier sound. The B1 sounds a bit like English happy hardcore, using the softer 909 kick, but without the accompanying breakbeat, so it is a little unsatisfying - but it has some fun happy riffs and a great sample from the film CB4. Whereas the B2 has lots of breakbeats - although they are a bit messy and out of time.

But B3 is the perfect balance of breakbeats and gabber, set of perfectly by a pitched-down hi-hat that gives the tune so much energy. It starts out quite Dutch, but the middle breakdown introduces a perfect English-style rave stab section - and as with a few of DJ Paul's tunes from this time, there's a cheeky sample from a UK tune - in this case, SMD 3 (which was a sample itself, to be fair!). Didn't get played as much as it deserved at the time, I think you could say this was a nice halfway point in Paul's progression from early gabber into full on cheese.
