“Digable Bass” is a nice rolling tune that uses the same break as “6 Million Ways To Die” and a bunch of other records, topped off with some ambient gubbins. “Intelligent Woman” starts off with a sample of a dancehall tune bigging up women, and shapely women in particular. However there’s a bit more to it than that, at the drop the MC states “This one goes out to all women in a good condition, no man cyaan’ use you for a one night function” (I presume the “function” in question is casual sex rather than a wedding reception). The tune itself is one of those ones that combines amen drums and bass to deadly effect, it’s almost like a feminist version of “Fire”. There’s also a reggae breakdown in the middle that splits the track up nicely but will catch you out if you happen to be mixing the next tune in at the time.

The sleeve of this record features a collage of flyers from before the time graphic design students were involved in dance music. I don’t know whether that’s a selling point or not but it is more interesting than the usual tatty black cardboard.
