It's all about 'Darkzone' on this release. Really good track.

"Darkzone" is one of my favourite hardcore tunes from 1998 - as played a lot by Brisk. There were a few producers starting to bring back elements of breakbeat hardcore into happy hardcore around then - but they mostly kept the happy vibe. "Darkzone" stands out because it is - well, dark! The main breakdown is based on the sinister piano riff from a real 1993 darkcore classic, "Gold Teet (Bad Bwoy)" by Stuck To Your Lips, along with plenty of hoovers. Engineered by Luna-C too, which I think shows! I can't think of many other tunes that are similar to this - it definitely stands out. And "Rock the Party" on the other side - whilst it is a much more typical happy hardcore track - is still a great tune, rather underplayed too. Great release all in!
