i came back to this compilation recently and it is still as good a compilation as when i heard it first, a really good selection of tracks over all but Modal You're Not Alone is a track that should have been left off in my opinion (the Deep DeSert mix of that track is a favourite of mine though) track this compilation down if you can

I know everyone has them: the compliations either in that pile on your bookcase that you havn't touched in years or in you car glove compartment, case all beat to hell.
Everyone has those compilations which by all rights you've really overplayed and you should probably be sick of. So nowadays you leave it for special occasions when you need a reminisce.
From these 2 CDs, here are just some of my experiences which flood through the speakers.

-> 3am: going balistic with this on full volume in a 24/7 prayer room on an industrial estate.
-> Lying on the grass, stargazing in the middle of camp with this amazing girl who was so out of reach, wondering if she'd get the same rush out of the music that i always did
-> Top of the hill in southpark oxford, in the headphones: height of summer, seeing a blood red sun sink down and sketching out an archaic trance release.

Now at this point I should probably be naming favourite productions, but no... i refuse. Sure some tracks are just too jaw-dropping to ever forget and some are just alright - but there are no deal breakers across the 2 CDs. I will say: it contains my go-to 'favourite track of all time' for whenever people ask.
I could give you hundreds of high-handed reasons why i rate this compilation higher than almost any other of its kind...
...don't take my word for it.
Just go and start listening, and maybe create your own memories along the way.

The Euphoria series has lost all its credibilty, going from THE trance compilation cd to own, with inspired mixes from the elite of trance...to cheesy, unoriginal Dave Pearce propoganda tools. Dave even carried his destruction on in his Euphoria sponsored nights at club eden in ibiza, where im sure he set the world record for "most amount of nulife records in one dj set"....a record im sure no one will want to try and break.

So, with the Euphoria series a shadow of its former beauty, im pleased to try and spead the word that the way has been paved for re-birth to former golries, courtesy of ministy of sound (I dont know the deatils behind telstar not owning the rights to the cd, but it does look as though MOS want to try and bring it back to what the series used to mean.)and Darren Tate.

DT8 might not be everyones cup of tea, but the track selection on this album is, in my opinion, one of the best out there. Ok, so he does plug a few of his own productions on here like winter, but at least hes got them out the way first. With new mixes of Viola, Randy Katana's Silence, Art of Trance, plus top tunes like Swing to Harmony, No One On Earth and From One To Another (i could go on), its hard to see where this cd goes wrong.

so hopefully this is a sign of a things to come........i just hope they dont bring another Euphoria Classics out.......
