I recently stumbled upon a great copy at a record fair and had to grab it. I first came across this record in a roundabout way through this seriously dope mix by Hashman Deejay, LNS & DJ D.Dee out of Vancouver, Canada.

This record is classic DM - raw and rugged. Not a dud to be heard on this 12" - there's an acidic undercurrent to the cuts here. Martell passionately delivers a lamentation about looking for a special kind of love on the Vocals Mix while the Acid Mix does what it says on the tin. Here that 303 really sings, working in tandem with some dope drum programming.

Flip the record over and there's a sequence of three seriously hot tracks. Craig Simpkins AKA K. Fingers and Mike Dunn come together to mix the two versions of Searchin' Hard. The Krazee Mix strips away the vocals and lets loose K. Fingers on a seriously dope jazzy workout not dissimilar to those you might hear on a classic Kerri Chandler jam, for example. Mike Dunn's A.C. Mix is the cut I hear many people raving about - and for good reason. It's a real cool meeting of the vocal mixes and the Krazee Mix where the vocal is cut up and teased for the latter part of the track. Watch out for that crazy vibe switch about 1m50s which will do damage on the dancefloor. Rounding off the record is Hula's Dance, a energetic 126bpm heater. An essential record for any Chicago heads.

100% agree with suvz, the Mike Dunn AC mix is crazy. So nasty... when it comes back in after the rewind I get goosebumps
