Fcked up thing with this one is that on the back it says 2013. so you can't really tell if it's a repress or not when it's sealed as they both have the same numbers and everything. Nevertheless, although I don’t own the original I must say this is an *awesome* sounding and SUPER QUIET pressing out of the box..almost unreal how quiet it is :) Grab this one up !

I picked up a copy of the Alex Gopher cut and I am more than happy with the sound.
No pops, just a bit of crackle here and there, which a good clean should get rid of.

I'm usually not a fan of electronic music but this album is really a masterpiece. I've heard only great things about the vinyl release (and the mastering as well) so I've decided to get a copy. Sadly, I just realized at home that I bought the EU repress, not the original release from 2013.

Now, here's the good and the bad. Mastering is (more than) OK, a bit bass heavy (just as the original vinyl mastering) for my taste but great dynamics overall, definitely quieter than the CD release. Others say it's very close to the original. Pressing is however just disappointing. Don't know where was it pressed (the original was pressed at Optimal) but on each side I've found pops and crackles. After a wash most of them are gone, but still hearing imperfections. I've paid ~25 EUR for this record and I think this is unacceptable. Still thinking about sending it back and buying the original on Discogs.

Bottom line: if your copy is perfect, then I guess you should keep it, as it's pretty close to the original. If you're just thinking about getting one, maybe you should try to buy the original (mastered by Chab).

Got a copy yesterday, and it has a lot of pops on it. It was slightly better after a good clean but the first track on side B (Within) has pops in the first 5-10 seconds that are very annoying. I asked for a return (amazon.de), and they refunded me directly and don't want the record back, so I'd guess that they are having a lot of quality issues with this one.

Held a copy of this reissue in my hands recently. There was GOPHER-TR (Alex Gopher from Translab) inscribed in the deadwax instead of CHAB who cut the original master. So this is not a simple repress from the same laquers but a new cut. However I contacted Alex on Twitter and he said it was cut from the same files as Chab did. Quote: "The goal was to be as close as possible from these files on final pressing." So there shouldn't be too much of a difference to the original press. I cannot comment on sound quality since I didn't have the chance to listen to it.

Need info on this reissue, is it worth it or does it sound worse than the original?
