Just after Music Man in Belgium and Kanzleramt in Germany, Pseudo is the third european label where Damon Wild decided to produce a new complete EP. This "Smoked Grooves" is the deep side of a new project. It will soon include the second "Fried Grooves" on his own label Synewave. For this new signature, Damon Wild starts here with "Torrent 1" a pure percussive and warm techno track. Designed to satisfy any dancefloor, this one will take you in an increasingly denser rain of rhythmic elements, sounds and vocal samples. "Desensitize" just comes after in a purified atmosphere full of strange mental sounds, long dark pad and nonlinear juxtaposition of bass-drums, hi-hats and cymbals. On second side, Damon Wild delivers the deepest track of this release: "Games People Play" which is the perfect combination of a really phat groove with some airy chords. To conclude "Numb" is certainly more curious and minimal than the three other tunes, with a hypnotizing and repetitive acidic sound. In anyway, "Smoked Grooves" is definitively a new musical adventure, drawn by a composer who always knew to remain innovating, even after 15 years of activity!
