I was never a big fan of the pop "dance" genre that polluted the airwaves in the late 90's, but Dance Nation's main musician Captain was an old Amiga scener (mod.beyond music, mod.space debris) and this CD was my big favourite when it arrived. But I think his 4-channel 8-bit MODs have stood the test of time better than Dance Nation has. The first half of "Dawn" sounds too much like the rest of the 90's dance music, the sounds just aren't interesting enough anymore, the vocalist(s) aren't too good, the lyrics are annoyingly repetitive and the tempo is just ridiculously fast. The last half has also aged, but not enough to sound nostalgic yet. I say we give it another 10 years before digging it up again.

Nice try, but I expected a lot more from the team that brought us "Don't Panic" a year earlier, and so did everybody else. Only 10 tracks, five of which are ambient-ish, released in the era when euro house was BIG: this debuted barely in top 20 and vanished pretty quickly.
I'd have liked to see them take another try, though. I guess it still isn't too late. How about "Don't panic 2005" with Cosmicman and Super8 remixes? :D
