I bought this on a whim at an antique shop for $2.00. I wasn't aware of this release but I know Dave Angel from "First Symphony", "Original Man", and the Rotation label which I was already a fan of. When I got this home, dusted it off, added the groove glide... Wow! I was more then impressed! These cuts are all fantastic. The stand outs for me are "Airborne" which for some reason reminds me of Reinforced Records and "Keeping On" which is one hell of a peak time club track. "Keeping On" is certainly the best one. I enjoy using that one to finish out my mix sets, it wraps up a set really nicely.

I've got a real love/hate thing for Dave Angel's music. On the one hand I think his stuff is awesome & he is deeply under rated as a Techno artist. On the other hand I think he has always tried to hard to be Detroit if you know what I mean. Saying that I also think he has definitely forged a sound of his own & it can be heard at it's best on this fantastic EP. I don't know. Maybe I just don't like the Dave Angel sound enough to really rate all of his releases. But this one is a winner.

This is a piece of techno history.

The artist clearly wanted and managed to tell a story in this release which features four deep yet full of energy techno tracks.

The four tracks are ordered by their name such that they describe an airplane flight experience from 'Take-off' to landing (or 'Arrival'). The interesting thing is that the tracks revive the feeling you would get from actually living the experience, especially 'Take-off' and 'Arrival'.

'Keeping on' is a real masterpiece. It is with this track that the release reaches its climax. A deep, fast and meditative techno journey.

The artwork on the sleeve also contributes to the value of this release.
