Apparently, this is getting remastered and repressed on vinyl on February 23 along with Heroes.

Definitely a departure from Bowie's early work as he was struggling with addiction and working exclusively in West Berlin. Bowie embraced a lot of the new age jazz scene and brought out his saxophone on a few tracks including the pop-tingling 'Sound and Vision'. Carlos Alomar and Brian Eno heavily influenced the compositions and Low represents Bowie as the ever-struggling artist trying to leave behind whatever demons plagued him at the time. A must for Bowie fans.

I would argue that this is Bowie's best album. Not his most popular, not his most commercially successful. His most creative, most emotional, catchiest stuff on Side A and most experimental on Side B.

It's not always easy for an artist to put out work that hasn't been done before. To collaborate with Eno on Low with some of these medleys would have been a difficult and strange process. Can you imagine the challenge after being so successful with his other work? You see 21st century artists try the same thing and fail 95% of the time.

But the product gives one of the most unique albums I have in my collection. It makes me feel a range of moods in the space of a three minute track, while leaving me with a hook I'll find myself humming later that day. Not to mention how unconventionally they have achieved these sounds - only a few years prior he was playing rock and roll.

I don't think Low gets the credit it deserves. Give it a proper listen and another mental recap. The best things in life are acquired tastes.

Something is missing. Not shure whether it's the mastering or pressing, probably both. Should be reissued, until then CD version is recommended. No comments needed about the music itself, absolutely fabulous and legendary
