Very nice reissue. Competently mastered but does sound noticeably different from the other versions I have, the most obvious change is the bass guitar: in all of the other Ziggys you can hear the strings being plucked...this one, this one sounds like they’re being violently yanked off the guitar or being played with a garden spade instead of a pick (best example is during Suffragette City, gives the song a nice energetic boost that I really like). Gives the whole album a more raw/emotinal feel.

Other reviews mention skipping on side B, I got lucky, got one that doesn’t have that problem

Sounds much better post-clean.
Not a patch on an OP, but still a nice listenable pressing.

Finally got round to buying this. Listening to side 2 first off. No problems there. Sound is great. Great price for a lovely piece of history.

The sound on the record is pretty good and the gold is cool. However like others I've had issues with Star and Hang on to Yourself skipping. I contacted the seller and he was quick to send me a replacement however that had similar issues. This is a problem with the pressing of record and is of no fault of the seller. It's a really cool record for collecting but probably not the best for listening to due to the common skipping issues. If you can get your hands on a lucky one with no skipping than go for it. I do highly recommend it for collectors though and the seller couldn't have been more helpful. Great communication and speedy deliverery. The record arrived in perfect condition both times too.

The music overall sounds wonderful, and side 1 is all round perfect. However, side 2, whilst still sounding good, has a huge problem skipping all the way through "Star" and a small part of "Hang onto yourself".

picked up mine today. Quite impressed with it. Had a UK first press not in a very good shape. So this copy is for day-to-day playing and the other one is for collecting.

Not a scratch on it, but side 2 still skips like crazy...

Strange thing, my copy doesn't mention "It Ain't Easy" on the sleeve (no title and lyrics). Am I the only one?

Impeccable reissue, superb sound! (played on my good ol' Technics sound system and Ortofon cartridge).
