What INSANE prices have I already seen in auctions and elsewhere for this album! On the other hand, it doesn't live up to its expectations ("killer boogie") at all in my opinion. Nearly every song is a copy of one another, using the very same gated electronic bass drum and hand clap sounds and sometimes even the very same lead synth preset! But Bernie Grundman on mastering! Whoa! But is an album excellent just because Bob Clearmountain himself was on the knobs? I mean, an engineer MIXES songs, but the musical material is already there - and he just makes it sound better. However, if the material itself is mediocre at best, even the best engineering and mastering can't do miracles. Well, no ... this is no must-have. If at all, it's a collector's gem who buy it for rarity's sake. Others may easily do without it. Really.
