A Standing There Crying!!! 2:06
B Porque Estas Llorando 2:06

(Clark 164) Recorded in January 1964 in Hollywood, not a speck of information to be found about Miss Thomas other than the fact that this L.A. obscurity is another collectible piece of vinyl among the Northern Soul scene. Raw musical backing track with some Spector percussive implements behind Deena's double tracked vocals. The flip a is surprising delight as it's the same tune with Miss Thomas singing in Spanish under the title of 'Porque Estas Llorando'. Although co-composer Flora Douglas remains unknown, her collaborator on this tune, Jesse Hodges, was also an engineer at Hollywood Sound Recorders at 6361 Selma Avenue. Arranger, Danny Gould seems to have been the most successful of those involved. In the 1960s he worked for Paramount Pictures in the music department. From 1970 until 2009 he was the vice president of music with Warner Bros. Pictures. With his talent for music, encyclopedic knowledge of compositions and ability to analyze any musical subject, he was a widely respected and utilized resource both at Warner Bros. and across the music industry. Throughout the years, his expertise was called upon by composers, conductors and music supervisors for countless film and television projects. He passed away in 2010 at the age of 89 due to complications from a stroke.
