This album begins like the Heavenly Music Corporation, but ends more like Arial Service Area 2 150 gram space weight, before taking a brief turn back into Silent territory as deeper than Love heads toward the 10 minute mark. The end of the album is my favorite part, especially Oracle Orca. Space Ship Melody is about 10 minutes worth of material in a 20 minute song.

The inside of the album reads: "recorded at home in 1993," and it sounds like it. The album is practically all mids, with very little energy in the high or low frequencies. It comes across a little stuffy, a little honky, and perhaps a little boxy at times, which is the albums largest drawback. It's by no means unlistenable, but it does sound like they released a demo.

That being said, it's not a bad demo. You get space, cetaceans, TB-303, and Lunar Phase style bird-related field recordings. If you like Arial Service Area or H.M.C, and you're looking for some obscure odds and ends to expand your collection, this might be one to go after.

Spaceship Melody is a very great track that I'll never tire of listening to. Nothing else by these artists is really noteworthy, but this track alone is well worth it.
