While this is of course an amazing record and an amazing EP in one, the vinyl I got had the inner sleeve bent over and it seems like there is a very slight bit of repeating surface noise on Cryptograms Side 1. It seems like it drowns out after the first track and its barely noticeable, so I still recommend getting this LP. Anyone else have that same problem?

Deerhunter is possibly one of the most innovative and old-school sounding indie stuff out there and yet they spread it all around. Great albums, definitely recommend to any current fan and definitely newbies..

Ahhh. Fresh vinyl!

Psychedelic indie rock mixed with comptent sporadic male and female vocals and long jammin guitar interludes pounding out noisey bliss. There is even some strange ambient pieces which create an unsettling world with nature. The tracks all seem to build smoothly, even though many of the tracks are aggressive sounding. The music reminds me of Spiritualized, with its seemingly endless hard edged shoegaze type rock. With that said, Deerhunter remain fresh and original and carry a lot of integrity in their music.
