A masterpiece! An hour of pure live perfomance, hot & sweaty funk by the first line up of Defunkt. It was recorded live to digital two-track on the night of December 22nd, 1990. The song are presented in the same sequenced that they were performed.
A killer solo by Bill Bickford on "Crisis", "Come Together" (Beatles) sounds like a Red Hot Chilli Peppers tune, the heaviest version of "Manic Depression" (Hendrix) ever, and my favourite is the last one "Illusion", where Joe bowie alone sounds like the JB's together, and Kim Clark delivers a 9's infectious groove that will shake every booty in the area.
I'm glad to have seen Joe Bowie few years later with the second line up, live on stage in Lyon (France); It was the same thing, unbelievable! I can tell you, this man never stop.
