Great to have this rarest-of-the-rare track on a single, the original Wee 7" being one of the hardest '60s records to find. The first time it turned up as a reissue was unofficially - on the first volume of Girls In The Garage sometime in the late 80s. The song was so rare it only circulated among collectors on cassette tape. The compilers credited it to Denise & Co. and titled the song Take Me As I Am (which I actually think is a better title than the rather cumbersome Boy, What'll You Do Then).
Along with The Belles 'Melvin' it stands out as the best example of the distaff '60s garage punk sound by far. Denise Kaufman later joined the all-girl San Francisco outfit Ace Of Cups who were a bit more hippyfied - but still great. Although they never actually released any records you can find a Big Beat compilation of live and demo tracks 'It's Bad For You So Buy It'.
