If you like Dennis Brown you need this set ! There are so many outstanding Tunes here esp. on CD 1, that you won't find on any other CD. His best Singles from his early days with producers like Derrick Harriot, Phil Pratt, Alvin Ranglin and others that ever found a way beyond the local market. We also find some of the best Niney and Joe Gibbs songs, that put him on the international map BUT most of the stuff here is taken directly from Vinyl - a sure sign that these songs were never issued again on CD collections or Best Of albums. Hard to believe given the sheer joy I get from hearing these fornerly unknown to me gems. as a bonus you even get a Live concert from 1979 with Loyd Parks & We, The People Band backing him in Switzerland. So in case yiou are interested in some of Dennis albums from the 70ies and early 80ies this is a treasure waiting to be discovered. Earliest release are from 1972 latest 1985. His prime and Reggae's Roots Revolution !
