Philadelphia records institution Wansel’s classic record ‘Life On Mars’ can be found here on the album of the same name. Wansel plays keyboards, Derek Graves slaps out a monster riff on bass guitar whilst a session singer, Terri Wells, gives us the backing vocals. This record is a genuine Mancuso Loft classic and is actually like going on a journey to Mars itself, although one that lasts only 7 minutes. Other galactic funk highlights to be found on the album include the superb ‘Disco Lights’, and the Enter-the dragon-esque ‘Stargazer’. Seminal stuff and Joey Negro samplefest material.
