Thumping tech-house from Diego’s THE PERSUASION CHANNEL—Kanzleramt can always be counted on to deliver the goods. The combination of deep rhythms and bright tones makes for serious dancefloor fodder here: “Dance of the Blue Atoms” is thick with sound and “The Multiplication Table” keeps the rhythm driving forward while maintaining melodic balance. “Most Transient Definitely” takes the denseness down a notch, but the quality is undiminished. Even “The Child Within,” the longest track, doesn’t drag for a moment of its 10-minute running length—the continual variations and filtering maintains the listener’s interest. The short “Disintegration” has its melody deliberately fall behind the rhythm—a fascinating experiment—but “Theme Stream” gets everything back into place. The final track, “Go See the World” has a bright, Ibiza-ready feel to it, while keeping the strong tech-house drive. A sparkling capper to a sparkling album. No need for channel-surfing here!
