One of the greatest records ever, a true gem.
It symbolizes a kind of departure from the old days and old ways, valid not only for 1969 but although for any later time.
Sadly enough the second album could not quite meet the high expectations of their first collaboration

What a record! Gene Clark with his beautiful stench all over this gem. Ranging from fantastic bluegrass tunes to the classic Gene Clark folk burners. Solid listening from beginning to end, culminating with 'Something's Wrong'. A perfect closing song which sounds as though it could've been inserted into Gene's later record 'White Light' as is, and not sound out of place at all. The chemistry that these two shared and the way in which these songs are presented with such ease are just phenomenal. Dillard & Clark were certainly quite the duo. RIP Gene !
