Were Hellfish's intentions genuine when he decided to have Deathchant 29 repressed? I'd really like to think so but as I was one of the buyers "who mistakienly thought that they were paying 50€ for a 300€ record for some reason. " I'm beginning to think otherwise.
During the buying process I don't recall their being any mention/information about a repress and after double checking my order history and the messages exchanged I can confirm this.
So am I naive for not questioning why I was paying € 50 for a € 300 vinyl or should I have been made aware that in fact I was actually paying € 50 for a repress???

Due to numerous requests, a limited press of 50 copies was made of this record. (at a considerable expense). after promos, there remained around 40 copies left available for the public to buy at a premium. This approach seemed preferable to flooding the marketplace by selling 300 copies @ 10€ each, and therefore by doing so totally devalue the treasured 2000 press of dc 29, which many Hardcore dc fans have paid extreme amounts to own. Most of the 40 copies will sell for 50-60 € each depending on demand, Generating less profit in fact than a market flooding 300 units @ 10€ each that some people would have prefered. Our apologies go out to anyone who mistakienly thought that they were paying 50€ for a 300€ record for some reason.

Unfortunately, no hope to find this wanted repress to a regular price like 10 euros as the Deathchant's label manager didn't make a repress to answer to the high demand from the label's fans as you could imagine... this one seems to not be a present to thank the fans but a special present for the label himself. sold like an original edition ( as lost & found box ) to a high amount during April/may 2015 on the Deathchant 29 original page without the 'repress' mention : /
... then credited like a ltd 50 copies ( since end of may) when DC 29 RP has been created but, of course, sounds a bit strange to be real, 200 or 300 copies sounds more realistic and could be easy to sell fast. A new cut is expensive and make 50 copies would be a total non-sense, the label will probably use this new cut to make unlimited press in the future when all the real fans will have pay the high price.
Why make a so limited new pressing when the Label knows that the 'fan' base is waiting a regular repress since long time ago ? fast & easy money $$ ?
hope the label will do a 'regular' price to answer and respect all the fans looking after this one.
Just have to press 500 copies and stop to sell them around 75 euros.
it's probably the first repress sold to a 'collector' price from a hardcore label instead to break the speculative market in using the usual channels ( to help them ) like distributors, records shops to answer to the high demand.
only 50 copies ? who knows if it's the truth ?? it's not hand numbered ... just a call to the plant then new DC 29 again & again...
According to the label, "Due to numerous requests, a limited press of 50 copies was made of this record " so to thank the 'numerous' people ( how many ? 200, 300 or probably more, not only 50 ) looking after this record, only 50 copies made for the 'rich' DJs to avoid to devalue the org press and let almost intact the speculative market around this record ( medium price around 70 to 100 euros for an original copy, over 100 euros, it doesn't sell as we note on discogs ) ... and this, just because some few people spent 50 to 100 euros in the past and didn't wait or claim a reissue from a label still active... was easy to make a 300 copies and deal with all the stores...
(300 x 10€) or (50 x 60/70 €), the same, 3000 euros right ? but 300 happy Djs to find this one to a reachable price & also happy records stores to make a small business around this record, it's the major difference.
Definitely more and more Disappointing !

... Is it the same label who made some "Anti-ebay" releases ?
