Twilight Tone is a fantastic, chunky Tribal House track which uses the main theme hook of the TV show "Twilight Zone" to good effect by not overdoing it.

This, combined with some very dense percussion that verges on industrial (think Kraftwerk's Metal On Metal) creates a very cool alternative take on the sound of 1991. Very much a case of less-is-more.

Sadly, the track is completely spoiled by a horrendous high pitched squeal that interrupts the track at key moments. Quite what the producers thought they would achieve on the dancefloor apart from people covering their ears while giving the DJ evil eyes is beyond me.

Perhaps they were in the studio and thought it would be cool to have some mindfuck sounds to go with the Twilight Zone theme? Yeah, that's funny in a studio for sure. Not on a dancefloor.

I managed to source an original copy of the compilation "The Best Of STR", on which this track is featured, and swiftly set about the task of re-editing the track myself.

It's not something I do often, but in this case trust me it's essential.
