Got my copy of the deluxe edition today and I am pretty happy with the sound quality in general.
I think you can tell from a couple of the tracks that it’s remastered from vinyl but in all honesty so what..... We can enjoy this brilliant album on cd so that makes me very happy so why rip it to shreds just because it’s not perfect......

Got my copy this week and returned it immediately. The whole album was mastered from vinyl, and very badly too. Check out track 2 (Feel The Drive) which is filtered to death. If you listen to the original vinyl you won't believe they did it so badly.
This release sucks, don't buy!

Album made by the best producers imho of the Italo era Martinelli & Gatto, Gee wizz and Watch out are such sublime tracks. Got the org. album from Ill Discotto and finally all the work of Doctors cat is streamable from Spotify now.

My favorite italo/synth pop album. The synths work is perfect. The melodies are great, catchy and very inspiring. The beats are basics but efficients. Side A contains the best tunes. "Feel the Drive" is maybe my favorite italo/disco/synthpop song. "Watch Out" is nearly as perfect as "feel the drive", with a more "epic" melody. The opening title, "Gee Wiz", is a nice mid-tempo typical 80s "dance ballad", with very cool synth melodies and "jupiterish" brass chords. Side B contains the interesting "crash" with its funny oriental melody (but weird and almost annoying vocals). "Doctor's Cat Melody" is a cool 80s ballad with great synth work again. The "Theme From Rodeo" is a funny closing tune.
I own the 1983 "Il Discotto" record, which is perfect on all aspects, and is surprisingly not expensive currently.

It was a release for only the vinyl for a long time, so it was pleased the CD was officially released. Next time I want to listen with high-quality master tape sound! (Track 11 is used from original master tapes and maybe other tracks is taken from vinyl-record rip...)

Too bad this seems to be a vinyl rip. I really wish they would have dug out the original master tapes for such a classic.

This album basically defines italo disco as a genre! All the synth work is perfect! Good quality pressing (On the il discotto version at least). Dont just bypass this as "Another typical italo LP". Its a piece of pure artwork!

A must have for Italo Freaks. Not just because of "Watch out" and "Feel the drive" which are mixed together on the album, but also of "Crash". An typical Italo House track with an oriental touch of melody and weird FX on the vocals.
Get this.
