The all time epic orchestrated disco “My Love Is Free”, full of lovely strings and emotional vocal chorus, is still considered one of the most important masterpieces of the Disco era, not only for the intense and contagious mix of Tom Moulton, but also for the ones of Frankie Knuckles (which is not in this release) and Walter Gibbons, who maximized the dancefloor appeal. Leonard Davis, Joe Harris, Chuck Whittington, and Jimmy Williams, the philadelphian quartet of the Double Exposure irradiated deep Soul influences through their magnificent music since their time as United Image. Absolutely essential classic, played by DJs such as the Chicago pioneer Farley Jackmaster Funk on the opening of his WBMX set in 1987.
