It's got some great tracks on it (Beehatch, Mother Sonne, Seel Hole, Omniman) but in hindsight its really an album of mostly directionless noodling. I appreciate early Download's pursuit of improvisation, frankly it and the introduction to Mark Spybey/ DVOA/ Zoviet France is massively essential to my introduction to experimental music as a 1-generation-late rivethead teenager, but this sound really reached its peak on The Eyes Of Stanley Pain rather than here. And even then I'm in the small minority that loves their III/ Effector-era sound much more than their first two albums. Probably worth a listen just for the highlights but expect a lot of skippable material.

Definately the best album of Download. The variety of musical landscapes here is huge and the intensity is so deep. Not the easiest listening in the band's catalog but the very essential one.

For anyone wondering about the cover art, it's intended to be viewed through the original lenticular jewel cover. Multiple images are visible depending on viewing angle.
