Is Drown metal, or are they industrial? They straddle both genres with unexampled excellence, each track staying within the boxy, mechanical structure of industrial. Killer synth intros -- devious, spacey, and somewhat a la NIN -- work well as preludes to the cutting, slamming, heavy guitar that follows for the body of each track. Topping even later heavy industrial metals such as Gravity Kills, and Two (Rob Halford and John5), Drown's Hold On to the Hollow is unquestionably the number one, top drawer, cream of the crop industrial CD of all time.
