DuChamp got the attention from Italian label Boring Machines who happen to be specialized in this type of music. The album NAR is her first offering. There are five tracks with a total of 42 minutes and the opener Gemini immediately sets the dark tone of this record. DuChamp uses long accordion waves and it really feels like if you’re listening to the dark ethereal sound by Nico. The Nico-comparison even got stronger by A Worship as she uses the same nasal deathlike voice which is accompanied with a synth drone.

There’s also room for experimentalism, like on Protect Me From What I Want. Yes, the titles of these songs says enough…a happy record it ain’t!

A Way To Grasp Joy Immediately is stuff for Eno-lovers as this is dark ambient. Very moody and quite breathtaking! The final track Seisachteia is the perfect anthem to close this splendid album, like a mystery.

We’re living in times in where music isn’t supported as it deserves to be, so this tiny (but mighty) release is available on vinyl, limited to 300 copies
