Horrible, the perfect example of how not to make a reissue. The original recording was not the best but this is just wrong.
Clearly, it was done by people who don't understand how vinyl works. Instead of taking the original recording and focusing on improving it, these guys added 8-10 minutes of """""BONUS""""" to each side making it 25 minutes long and resulting in bad sound, clipping, distortion, and overly compresses throughout the vinyl. I recommend everyone avoid this.

Great sound. Excellent printing. Excellent presentation. A good product. I read the comments above and I made comparisons with Blue Note CD that I have. On my audio system, the CD seems to cut the high frequencies a bit, making the bass better. The sound of the LP, in my opinion, is more natural, closer to the live situation, the piano is heard very well and the bass is also in its place. (see the song "Very Special", a pleasure to listen.)

couldn't resist but to compare the WAX TIME pressing with this version of MONEY JUNGLE:
https://www.discogs.com/Duke-Ellington-Money-Jungle/release/1956670

in my opinion: when it comes to sound it's nearly day & night. on the 1986 version: no hiss, no aggressive dynamics, unbalanced & poorly equalised frequency spectrum, no distorted peaks on the piano (when the duke hits the keys with more temperament ;-) --- the 1986 version is really a pleasure to listen to - also because it has all the extra tracks as the WAX TIME version --- frankly speaking: from now on i am staying totally away from anything that was repressed during the "vinyl hype days" ;-)

VERY "hissy" copy (a LOT of background noise) +++ CD like sound (you can hear it on the drums)
