Killer early Josh Brent release. Heavier dub influences relative to the Schatrax project. Honcho Sex God and Shadow Boxer still have the goods.

Shadow boxer is the jam. It's got that breakbeat from beats & culture ep on elicit but here it has a rhythmic delay on the whole breakbeat that dubs it out to new levels. The breakdown is a melody made up from the TR-808 cowbell which gives it a breakdancing vibe. I'm sure all those annoying homie-gs at the mid 90s raves would have blocked valuable dance floor space doing their thing while this was on. However funny thing, I never heard this played out. I heard it at the local record store upon arriving and immediately shouted out, what is that? I want this!!! Honcho Sex God is a tech house number that is so sad vibe wise. Personality Disorder is an interesting full on Techno track that wouldn't sound out of place in a Jeff Mills style set. I think I'm going to enjoy this record more often. It's been hiding in my collection since purchasing it and whenever I think of it I can't find it. I found it now.
