I've always felt Masterplan was an inferior sequel to The Future, slightly too cheesy and overshadowing the superior B-side tracks.

Battle For Your Mind is an interesting album title and easily enjoyable rave anthem. The vocal sample is from Chuck D's second verse from Public Enemy's classic song, Shut Em Down. Starting off with a dark intro, the catchy Analogue rave sounds start to take over and keep the track flowing to the end except for a short but sweet breakdown.

As usual the classy B2 track is glossed over. Trancore is a lovely track and showcases the direction Mischa van der Heiden was heading towards in the coming years. As the name suggests, its a cross between Dyewitness Hardcore and glorious German Hard Trance. The excellent Analogue synth work continues but really stands out on Trancore. As with many of the great rave tracks of the time, there's an extended but delightful breakdown before the track builds up again and has you dancing till the end. The explosion at the end is a nice touch.

The last great Dyewitness vinyl release, Mischa van der Heiden would set up X-Trax Records and become even more popular. In my opinion, one of the most underrated producers from Rotterdam.

"Growing up we were taught to believe that everyone was created equal in the masterplan".
This is the song that made me fall in love with raving. It has everything that a good hardcore track (in my opinion) needs: Good bassline, mcing and good vocals. The track is still making the rounds today at raves.
