Velocity funk was indeed already published by Cameo and the track was called "Money".
It was back in 1992 on Reprise Records and not only as a promo. Produced by Larry Blackmon.
And guess what, two tracks are remixed by Kevin "Reese" Saunderson.

Actually the track "Velocity Funk" has already been published as a CAMEO Remix in 1991 or so. If I remember correctly there have been a version inc. CAMEO's rap and an instrumental which is identical to Velocity Funk! The remix record was a promo only and has never been commercially available!

I really love both tracks of this record... Velocity funk really unleashes an explosion of energy and world of deep's warm melodic synths really draw your attention. If only i could find a copy of my own...

"World Of Deep" is a proof for the fact that Kevin Sounderson has the knowledge to produce honest and funky feelings in tracks which don't get out of your head anymore. Timeless classic for every time and every place. Please make more of that stuff, Kevin!
