This song definately has my vote for tune of the year. I find all too often that hardcore is loosing its cheesy, almost insincere emotional edge in favor of an experimental (in the case of Freeform releases) or predictable (In the case of Evolution Records) quality. I have no problem with this, I love freeform and Scott Brown is still a hero of mine. But I often long for the old style vibe that I used to get from tracks like "Eye Opener" and "Love Of My Life" and this is the track that brings back that feeling i got. I do not believe that the fact that it is cheesy as hell shows signs of regression. On the other hand i think it shows that A) At least one of the big hardcore labels is remembering the past. B) Happy hardcore is remaining happy. C)Next Generation is still making hits.

Be Happy is an uplifting and fast paced masterpiece which incorperates an very positive message and elements of the old skool we all loved. It's a quality track and the remix is a stomper too.

I heard this song for the first time. I cant help but comment.

HOW WAS THIS SONG RELEASED 8 YRS AFTER PEOPLE STOPPED WRITING MUSIC LIKE THIS?

Seriously, it just bugs me when decent labels totally jump the shark and release a track that to me, just sounds like old cheese? I thought music was progressing. This isnt progress.

technically this songs sounds exactly like a track that would have been written when cheesey tinny synths and abnoxious vocals were not only accepted but expected. I hope this isnt a trend for the future, we need to move on.
