Most folk will have come across 'Time-Warp', an undeniable cross over disco/electronic classic of anthemic qualities. 'Everybody Dance' is another record from E.G that ticks the disco classics box, only here, in a completely different vein. Sun soaked in Eddie's incredible voice, underpinned by raw 4/4 drums & elastic bassline, quirky synths, disco wah- guitar & progressive conga percussion- its more deep island sunset ecstasy than the overground cocaine fuelled NY disco sound. As time goes on, repetition starts to reveal a hypnotic, slow burning subtle acid quality that somehow spices up the message of love & unity into a bit of an orgy & will lock you firmly in a trance... This is a sexually fuelled record, yet not directly through its lyrics- its the feeling that creeps into every soul on the floor when this drops at the right point. Add the bonus of this being lesser known than 'Time- Warp' (and much harder to find) and you have a deadly dance-floor demon. Albeit a hand clapping, conga snapping, synth zapping demon. Incredible record.

I love that 3 different people are credited for handclaps on "Everybody Dance"
