Electra's debut may have been released in 1974, yet a lot of the recordings stem from the early days of the band. So, if it feels like you've been transported back to 1969, it may well be so! There are some really dated numbers with a psych ballad feel, much like the Italian beat of the same era, but with typically East German anguished vocals and real cringeworth gospel/operatic female backing singers. For the prog fan the better tracks are those featuring Bernd Aust on flute where touches of Jethro Tull and Focus are heard hinting at the so much better albums that followed.
