Actually released in 1988 on FFRR, at the height of the Balearic Beat scene. There are 2003 remixes by Mark Summers at Scorccio (www.scorccio.com), who has been working alongside Elkin and Nelson. They are still active on the live circuit. There was a brass band instrumental of "Jibaro" on the "Acid Brass" CD in 2001. There has long been a dispute over royalties never paid to Elkin & Nelson due to FFRR's shameless failure to credit them as writers on the Electra cover version.

This is a quality cover version of the classic Elkin and Nelson track. Not as good as that original version but still a worthy addition to the collection nonetheless.
