The Electric Flag is a phenomenal merging of blues, rock, soul, and psychedelia. Every song is a powerhouse, with outstanding performances. The catalyst and energy on this was caused by the tension created by Michael Bloomfield's desire to have a straight blues group and Buddy Mile's passion for large soul band arrangements. In my entire collection that spans over 60 years, this is one of my most played albums. It should be the cornerstone of any serious popular music collection. Five stars does not do this justice!
