Extract from my French Independent & Underground Obscurities article in Audion 56 (2010): If the whole their album was like the opening track, an acoustic Mediterranean flavour folk/jazz ditty, this would not get a mention here at all! But, forget that, and the rest of it's wonderful. Vibrant, oddly twisted complex prog, with many a nod to acts like Matching Mole or Hatfield & The North, but firmly in the French idiom. The album title SORTIE DE SECOURS is, of course, the French for "Emergency Exit" as if to indicate that these have taken their favourite English influences and changed them into their own French style. Apparently the lyrics are quite political, but they don't get in the way, with the song style (especially when joined by flute) reminds of Ame Son, or another obscurity of the era Plat Du Jour, or even Etron Fou in the final track, although there the music riffs/trundles in a much more Hatfield's fashion, moving on to a crazed freaky ending.
