I just recorded that single a few minutes ago, and my copy is terribly distorted in every sound above a certain level. In "Jill's Theme" the singing is completely destroyed by distortion throughout the recording - side B is even worse... The harmonica on the iconic track is so loud and distorted it hurts in my ears; even in very low levels. I don't know if that is the case only with my copy...if not, then there was absolutely no quality check back in the times. Even a deaf person would not have let that passed. Great songs, great movie, great actors - but terrible soundtrack recording. I would go as far as this: If you want to wreck your system by overload - play this record at an insane volume...the party will end and your blasters will be done. Completely. Other copies may be fine, this German release is a sucker.
