Entheogenic was among the first psychedelic chillout artists I've heard. Ten years ago, I remember downtempo compilation Module:1from french psytrance label 3D Vision featured their track Invisible Landscape. I loved it, it was new to me and I got hooked to imaginative power of their music. Now, first of all, I am very happy to see this project still up and running. It seems that Entheogenic now consists of one original member, Piers Oak-Rhind. This album, Enthymesis, brings all you would expect from Entheogenic. Eastern-influences soundscapes, vocals, natural fields recordings... Even a little bit more. It's very organic, the sound on this album, which is a big + and it really has a special living aura to it. Very deep and introspective, but also endlessly open to the wonders of the innerworld. The only thing that keeps this from 5 star album is the last track. It could have easily ended with beautiful track #7. Or instead of average-quality (at best) psytrance track, there could have been just a short acoustic outro piece... or nothing even. It was pleasant ride all until the end, and I will repeat it gladly this summer. This should get it's plays all around the world on chill out floors!
