The Australian release features the title track which wasn't included with the EU edition because it was on Erasure - When I Start To (Break It All Down) cd single.

The Australian release includes the title track (as final track). Whilst it sounds a bit basic production-wise I'm really pleased to see it included on the album. For some reason didn't appear on UK/EU versions.

A new Erasure record is always welcome! I truly believe this, and as a fan of the band almost as long as they have been around, upon each new record I place only one expectation: that Vince and Andy have not lost the knack for writing beautiful pop songs.

That said, I hate most modern pop. Can't stand it, really, and other than following other artists from the 80ties who are still releasing music, the only modern pop i can stomach is some of the stuff coming from Scandinavia these days (like the Knife, or Robyn). Erasure have always touched my heart, not only because they continue to write excellent pop, but because they have remained true to who they are and their sound.

This new record still delivers on that promise, although they have incorporated more modern production than on the previous few records, perhaps due to their fancy new producer, Frankmusik. I don't mind some of the musical flourishes, which could be compared to some of the neo-disco techniques that Madonna employed on her confessions of a dance floor record. At its core, the arrangements are still pure Erasure, and Andy continues to deliver lyrics that are largely like a warm, familiar blanket. His vocals are still in fine form as well; however, this brings me to my one complaint with this record: auto-tune. Yup, I said it. I commend Erasure for resisting the urge to employ this overdone and rather pathetic sounding effect for as long as they did, but on Tomorrow’s World, it shows up far more than is welcome, and certainly does not enhance Andy's vocals in anyway, and on the contrary, this shallow and populist effect steals magic away from his voice.

This one setback is certainly not enough to suggest that you don't pick this up, as if you are a fan, you certainly need this record, but for me, the modern "push" that this album receives in it's production makes it less of a standout for me than their previous two albums, or my personal favorite the self-titled album from 1995, which was "modern" in a more experimental and ultimately more satisfying way thanks in part to the production help of the Orb's Thomas Fehlmann.
