I'd like to know when this album was produced, Escalator seems not to have done much new music between 1994 and the release of this album in 2011 and this sounds like something left over from that earlier era of their career. Escalator has been around quite awhile and "Out of My Ego" sounds of a very early-nineites vintage sound. Whereas a lot of current ebm groups ("Anhalt-EBM" or "Nu-EBM" or whatever) groups try to sound like vintage 80's and 90's they often miss the mark or sound like they're trying to re-create Nitzer Ebb's "That Total Age" over and over albeit with modern machines. But this album is right on. It has a sound really similar to Noise Unit's 1992 album "Strategy Of Violence", almost so authentic as to sound anachronistic compared to a lot of current EBM. It's quite good, I hope they are in fact still producing music and come out with more of this quality, just more than 8 songs at a time!
