very good music, but very bad pressing for the 3xLP, blue. Very disappointed.
on the black and green version it's the same problem?

My copy of "best of unreleased" CD doesn't work on some CD players (eg. Rotel RCD-06), anyone have the same problem?

Firstly, my thanks to DJ Draeke for releasing this on vinyl and for being so helpful in getting it to me. Secondly, this is an interesting release of a unique gig. What Etnica could do live was amazing, especially given that they couldn't really hear what they were doing but had to rely on intuition and their connection with each other. They were obviously in synch at a deep level. Moreover, there is a really great sense of live spontaneity, despite the fact that this is a mixing desk recording and not one made from microphones in the crowd. That alone makes this a significant recording in the genre which seldom has that kind of live and spontaneous feel. There are some roughnesses to the sound as a result of this: at times the highs are a bit splashy, but the sound quality is mostly better than typical bootleg distortion. The mastering is also not quite perfect, especially in the unreleased tracks, for instance there is some mistracking at the beginning of "Time Dilation". The mastering seems to be trying to pump up the volume too much overall as there is quite a bit of mistracking throughout, at least on the blue and green vinyls I have. There is also quite a lot of surface noise on these colour pressings. I would be interested to know if this is the same with the black vinyl edition. There are also some strange electronic noises in "Fluorophilia Camps Bay" that sound like someone pulling out a patchbay or suchlike. But these are quibbles as the music is great and the cover art is stunning. It is a rich irony that it was dat pirates who have allowed us to have this live concert, this slice of history. Finally, what is historically significant is that this was pressed to vinyl. A huge portion of the history of this psychedelic genre was on vinyl, where it sounds best. NB Suntrip Records: We want great Goa trance, and we want it to sound the best it possibly can, which means it must be pressed to VINYL! So big ups to Etnica, and to Draeke. Ave Italia! ~*~

So glad this has been released on vinyl. I don't believe in CDs, which as you know can be a damn frustrating position as so much Goa is CD only. But this is pure awesome!

I don't remember where I read it but the mix is said to be one of the hardest mixes to have been made, since Etnica actually couldn't hear what they were playing.
