When the vocals kick in at around 1:30, they use the same rhythmic pattern as in the '79 Joe Bataan hit "Rap-O-Clap"(https://www.discogs.com/Joe-Bataan-Rap-O-Clap-O/master/111334). Though slightly altering the lyrics, they still urge you to clap yo hands ;)

This was before Jimmy Ross which was supposed to be released on T.K. Disco in 1980 but then decided to release it themselves on their own Eargasm Label which then came out early 81

The bassline in Euro Funk's' Everybody's Dancing' is very similar (if not the same) on this classic Larry Levan mixed Jimmy Ross release: http://www.discogs.com/Jimmy-Ross-First-True-Love-Affair/release/80282
Personally, I think the Jimmy Ross track was released first. But both tracks are excellent.
