This album was licensed to Manifesto by Chuck Mosley, who is a co-owner of the album. It was originally announced as a Record Store Day "Black Friday" exclusive. However, before Black Friday, the other members of the band threatened Manifesto's distributors with legal action if the distributors shipped the records, and the release was suppressed. The matter is currently the subject of litigation.

The record comes in a thick printed inner sleeve.

A sticker affixed to the shrinkwrap or front of the record sleeve reads:
"Long out-of-print first album from 1985! Special edition white vinyl! Original recording of "We Care A Lot" MFO 45501"

Face labels and rear sleeve:
℗ 1985 Faith No More, under license from Charles Mosley to Manifesto Records, Inc.

We have one copy for sale, send a message in private.

They didn't do a good job suppressing this. My local store had two copies, one which I returned after finding it jumped, and another nearby store also had a copy. I posted a photo of this sweet white album on my turntable on Twitter, tagging members of the band. Chuck loved it and shared it, however Billy replied that it wasn't an official copy, which left me somewhat deflated. Now I see the full story.
Still a great album, good sound and packaging, and stoked to have it in the collection. Would prefer this to a 2LP reissue.

I bought it on ebay. The quality is great. The packaging is also surprisingly high quality. I'm enjoying this version a lot.

I'm wondering if the story of this release is as the copyright suggests: Original singer sold the rights to this album when he didn't have them in the first place? (Notice that this release is blocked for sale on Discogs.)

Interesting the official FNM site is taking preorders for an official 180G 2LP for release on Aug 19, 2016.

People actually have this? Wasn't it cancelled?
